2024 Entry forms

  • Sheepdog Trials: Only for the Sheepdog Trials are Entry Forms required. All entries (which may have to be limited) must be in the hands of the Secretary, with fees in full, by TUESDAY 20th AUGUST 2024. Enquiries to  Ms Katie Harold.
  • Entries for Sheep Classes must be with Chris Newbrook by 3PM Wednesday 28th August 07572 587629. Payment on Saturday or before.  
  • For all of the other competitions (Horse & Pony section, Shearing classes, Companion Dog Show), no entry forms are required. Entries will be taken on the day and on the field.

    • 5:00-6:00 pm – Class 4 Best Conditioned Working Sheepdog
    • Saturday Trials Class 1 – Saturday approx 7.30 am
    • Finals of Class 1 – Saturday approx 4.00 pm
  • Saturday
    • 9:00 am – Horses: Showing Classes – Horse Ring 1 
    • 9:30 am – Clear Round Jumping – Horse Ring 4, until 2pm
    • 10:00 am – Class 1 Sheepdog Trials, Taly Garth Fields
    • 10:00 am – Working Hunter – Horse Ring 2
    • 10:30 am – Showjumping – Horse Ring 3
    • 11:00 am – Judging of Companion Dog Show commences
    • 1:00 pm – Hand Shearing competition
    • 2:00 pm – Machine Shearing competition
    • 2:00 pm – Handy Horse/Pony – Horse Ring 4
    • 3:30-4-00 pm – Draw of Raffle  / Presentation of Sheep Prize and trophies
    • 3:30 pm – Gymkhana / Mounting Games
    • 4:30 pm –  Trials: Final of Class 1 Sheepdog trials
    • 6:00 pm – Presentation of Sheepdog trials Prizes and Trophies
  • Sheep & Shearing
    • Sheep to be penned by 9.30 am Saturday, followed by Judging
  • Companion Dogs
    • Entries for Companion Dog Show taken – Saturday 10.00 am

Cups and other trophies to be returned at the end of 12 months
