The principal public activity of the Ceiriog Valley Sheepdog Society is the organization of its annual Trials and Show, an event that includes Horse Jumping, Gymkhana, Sheep and Dog Competitions.
It is held at the Tal y Garth and Ty’n y Groes fields, near Glyn Ceiriog on the B4500 road from Chirk, LL 20 7AB, on the last weekend in August.
On the Friday: Sheepdog Trials (Novice and Local classes); Best Working Sheepdog.
On the Saturday: Sheepdog Trials (International Class); Sheep Classes; Companion Dog Show; Sheep Shearing; Riding Classes; Show Jumping; Gymkhana.
A printed announcement of the forthcoming Trials and Show is normally sent out in April of each year, along with the General rules.
